Today's warm up, we've started with 30 second drawings. I've used pencil and brush pen. But the brush pen was bit harder than the one last week. I'm not very happy with my drawings. I couldn't really relax and draw fine curves. So today's drawings don't have much force in them.

However, after the warm up, we had to exaggerate the proportions. My first drawings weren't so good. My tutor said that he wants to see much bigger exaggeration. So I drew very unrealistically. And after few tries, my drawings became very powerful. And I really enjoyed this technique.

After that we were introduced to a new technique. We had to draw only tones without any outline. I really like the effect of those drawings. They're very deep. I also like the effect of shading the background to make the highlights of the model to stand out.

Lastly, we continued to working on the measurement of proportions. But today I had big problems with that. I couldn't get the length of the legs right.

Today we've had new female model. We've started with a 2 minute warm up. However, we kept on drawing in this pace for the longest time ever. This gave me an opportunity to experiment with all the techniques we were shown this year. Also, we were using different media. Some of them, I've never used before. I really enjoyed using the brush pen. With a little bit of practice,, a drawer can achieve very high quality lines.

In the end of the day we've came back to measurements from last week and done couple of drawings. This week I had much less mistakes to fix with the proportions.

Today we've had a male model. We've started with usual warm up. I'm finding a bit harder to draw male models than female. I think female models are easier to draw, because they have more curves and it's easier to capture the weight and the essence of the pose. However, I found this model's poses very interesting. I've added some notes to my drawing to show what I was thinking of the pose.

After the warm up, we had to watch the model changing his pose and draw the only part of the body that takes our attention. This technique helped me with understanding the anatomy of different parts of the body, which will be very useful in my future animations. I've tried not to repeat the same parts of body in order to widen my research.

Today we were also introduced to measurement. For the last drawing we were given 30 minutes. Usually, when we draw we are supposed to exaggerate the pose, but now we had to carefully measure everything and draw exactly what we see. I found that a bit frustrating, because more measurements I've done, more mistakes I found. But in the end I was satisfied with my drawing.

We've started with warm up. First with 3 minutes drawings and then moved down to 1 minute and lastly to 30 seconds. The first couple of drawing weren't so good as I had quite long break with my drawing. But as I kept going my drawing became more and more powerful and I could easily capture the weight and the essence of the pose.

After the warm up we were introduced to a new technique. We were to draw only silhouette of the model and then fill it with the pencil. I found quite tricky to keep the proportions right. So I've decided to start my drawing as usual, with 30 second sketch and then do the outline and fill it with the pencil. I really like the effect of those drawings. It makes me look at different prospects of the pose, which will become very useful in my animations.

In the end of the day, we were given 30 minutes to complete 2 drawings. We could focus more on the details and look for more finished drawing. Here is one of them:
